Livermore Valley offers one-stop services, no film permit required. Assistance with scouting, script break-down, liaison with local, county, state and federal government agencies, and local resources. A variety of locations that can take you to a specific part of the world or "anywhere USA." Rural landscape, wind turbines, wineries and ranches share the valley with high-tech offices, modest homes to mansions, and quaint downtowns.

We have low costs locations, production friendly weather, experienced Bay Area crews, and exceptional cooperation from all Government Agencies.

Marin County

Marin County Hills

The Marin Film Resource Office is here to help. With its stunning locations, rural back-country roads, rolling green hills and open space areas, Marin County affords the perfect opportunity for a unique film venue. We offer film support in location referrals, permit contacts, accommodations for talent and crew, and pre and post production studios.

Monterey County

Bixby Bridge and Brazil Ranch Hwy. 1 to north

Monterey County Film Commission provides free assistance to filmmakers, and helps connect them with Monterey County locations, crew and resources. From Big Sur’s coastal vistas to Steinbeck County ranches, plus towns like Carmel, Pacific Grove, Monterey and Salinas and miles of varied roads for car shoots.

San Francisco

San Francisco

Film SF is part of the Mayor’s Office of Economic & Workforce Development that inspires, attracts and supports creative productions in San Francisco. We provide hands on permitting to a wide variety of projects, ranging from student films and still photography to feature films and television series. It is our mission to ensure that each and every production has a successful shoot in our cinematic city.

San Mateo County/Silicon Valley Film Commission

San Mateo County/Silicon Valley has tremendous diversity with breathtaking bay and coastal vistas, picturesque lighthouses, scenic country roads, giant redwoods, magnificent mansions with romantic gardens, city scenes and country towns.

From high tech to high corn, we have it all and we will help you find a match! Best of all, our natural scenic beauty and exciting venues are easily accessible, with San Francisco International Airport in our backyard. Our Film Commission's film friendly, "can do" attitude will ensure you have a successful production experience here.

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is 35 miles south of San Jose, 65 miles south of San Francisco, 35 miles north of Monterey and 375 miles north of Los Angeles.

In addition to its locations and proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area, Santa Cruz County offers a diversity of locations, including majestic redwood forests, winding mountain roads, charming rustic towns, an historic narrow-gauge railroad at Roaring Camp Railroads, old Victorian neighborhoods, colorful seaside villages, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, lush agricultural fields, dramatic coastal bluffs, and 29 miles of coastline, all within just a few hundred square miles.

Sonoma County has an extensive photo gallery when you are ready for the Pacific Ocean, rivers, rolling hills, winding roads, vineyards, farmland, suburbia, and Sonoma Raceway.

Solano County’s 823 square miles are conveniently located in between San Francisco and Sacramento and at the southern end of the Napa Valley. Our varied geographic location allows access to diverse areas making all types of filming projects possible and parts of the county are located in within the 30-mile San Francisco production zone.
